At first, when I chose to major in Hotel Management, I was lost and didn’t know what I should do or where I should begin. Fortunately, I met my mentor. She was very gentle and patient with me at the beginning when I was too shy to express myself. She guided me patiently, and I started to improve in the 11th grade. She understood what I needed to do to achieve my goals and obtain the conditions necessary for entering my dream school. She helped with planning both my standardized exams and extracurricular activities. She has also taught me how to get along with others.
My counselor regularly summarized my activities, standardized tests, and school life to help me accumulate essay materials at the beginning. I didn’t know where to start when I began writing my essays. She helped me find my unique strengths and put them into words to let the college admission officers know what kind of person I am. She helped me find materials for essays that I never realized were there. With her help, my writing went smoothly, and I knew what I could present and what was worthy of pride. I was not at all anxious during the writing process.
